Dear Friends,

All of us so appreciate your standing with us in prayer.  I know this letter should be one of great rejoicing as we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus this Easter, but to be honest with you right now it is very difficult to see past our present circumstances.  These past few months have grown so increasingly difficult for each one of us that we are experiencing far more pain and confusion than we probably ever thought possible.  Cora continues to grow worse and I do not see how she could write another prayer letter before being healed, which at this point looks impossible.

But what is impossible with man (and we are feeling our total inadequacy) IS POSSIBLE WITH GOD!  He has continued to encourage and strengthen us when we feel like we can't possibly go on.  Often it has come from someone writing us a special note with a word of encouragement from the Lord or sending us a special tape.  At other times it has been a Scripture passage one of us has read or something in a devotional book, or a newsletter from David Wilkerson entitled, "The Devil Can't Have You!".  How we thank the Lord for everything He has sent to strengthen us at this final hour.

One of those special times was last Sunday afternoon.  When we turned off the video of our church service the program on TV was "A Man Called Peter", the life story of Peter Marshall.  It was a wonderful and inspiring movie and caused me to remember a book of his sermons called "Mr. Jones, Meet The Master".

That night I "randomly" chose one of those sermons to read entitled, "Research Unlimited".  In the sermon, Peter wondered what would happen if someone did research on a particular Scripture with as much effort and discipline as scientists do research.  He then gave examples of men of God who have done that, ending with a Baptist minister who did research in the area of healing.  Peter tells how the minister was deeply troubled about all those sick in his congregation causing him to spend years in prayer, asking God to use him to meet their needs.  Suddenly his prayers began to be answered, which he carefully documented in order to give God all the credit.

Peter goes on to relate how God gives no indication of withdrawing any power in this day that was available at the time the New Testament was written; but the church of his day (and that was sometime in the late 1940s!) was somehow inclined to skip over that promise or spiritualize it.  He talks about how the Bible never relates sickness to spiritual growth, stating that he couldn't imagine Jesus telling a sick person not to ask for healing, but instead to be brave and suffer on since it was happening for his good.

Reading this was such a blessing because that is what the Lord has been telling us for years now.  So we are continuing to pray and wait on the Lord "for His Kingdom to come and His will to be done here on earth, just as it is in heaven."

We can't begin to tell you how much your support has meant and continues to mean, but we are giving our all as much as we know how until His victory is won.  And we pray that His Kingdom will come in greater and greater measure in each of your lives in the days ahead so that you can bring much glory to His Name in every way.
